SIGNS: DO THEY MEAN IT?:: MAINE PHOTOGRAPHER

While out walking the other day, I ran across this sign in a field that borders my land. Did it mean what it says? Does he mean to keep ME out, or just people he doesn't know? Does he even really mean it at all, since the sign is rather neglected? I kept to the edge of the field, since it hadn't been hayed yet (he'd better get to it; time's a-wasting). No one suddenly appeared to chase me away, so I will continue to cross the field - carefully - until I'm told otherwise.....

It's cold! Time to stay inside and do "stuff" that can be done indoors. I decided to go through some of my pictures (from a warmer time) and try a little digital watercolor:

Looks like the grass will just have to wait a while!

REPRIEVE

Yes, it's only January. But it seems so nice to have the temperature hovering near 60°, with a warm-ish wind. The grass is just waiting until it's a little warmer (unfortunately, it will probably have to suffer through more snow and below-zero weather before then) to start growing again, well in advance of the lawnmower tune-up. But we'll take it for now....
